God Lesson 3:

If I want MORE OF GOD, I must give God ALL of Me

Why do I want MORE of God?

• Philippians 3:10 – 14

“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead… I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”

How do I give God ALL of me?

• By consistently spending TIME with God
  • Reading the Bible
  • Prayer

• By learning to DEPEND on God
  • Pray about EVERYTHING!

• By practicing OBEDIENCE to God
  • John 14:23

“Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.’ “

Giving God ALL of me is a SACRIFICE

• Romans 12:1-2

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

In order to have more of God, I must be intentional about MAKING ROOM in my life for Him.
