They chat about her experiences serving as a student ambassador and 2023 recognition as a Zada Cooper Leadership Award recipient. Emily and Melissa discuss mentors and serving as a role model. Emily emphasized the importance of getting involved in leadership activities and showing up with enthusiasm. Note: this episode was recorded as Emily departed for her pharmacy residency program Summer 2023 and is dedicated to our dear friend and mentor, Tom R Temple, past chief executive officer of the Iowa Pharmacy Association who passed away in September 2023.
