Episode 6: We only die once, so let’s make it a good one!
Description
Content Warning: This episode contains discussions around death, dying, terminal illness, and mental health.
Professor Samar Aoun 2023 WA Australian of the Year
Professor Samar is considered an International leader in changing the way we talk about death, and breaking the taboos around dying.
Death literacy is about preparing for end of life, and Samar is a strong campaigner for changing the way we view palliative care and changing the way we talk about death.
It’s about giving a person back their power, over the how and where they will die.
In a ground breaking program, a Compassionate Community Charter is creating a framework to help family, friends and the community better support those living with terminal illness.
This episode is about getting comfortable talking about death.
