Digest

Terry Carnation, the host of Radio Rental, begins the episode by reading a fan letter from a couple getting married who are including Terry's name on their scrapbook wall. Terry then shares a personal story about a Craigslist job interview that turned into a terrifying encounter with a potential serial killer. The story involves a chiropractor's office that seemed off from the start, with a dark and unsettling atmosphere. The chiropractor, a large and imposing man, seemed more interested in talking about his previous employee, who he referred to as "Fruitcake," than the job itself. He also made unsettling comments about his belief in karma and a recent injury he sustained. The interview ended abruptly when another woman walked in, and the chiropractor asked the narrator to go back into his office. The narrator felt a strong sense of danger and decided to leave, but the woman seemed to sense something was wrong and told the chiropractor not to worry about her. The narrator ran to her car and drove away, feeling a sense of relief that the woman had intervened. She later checked the local university where the chiropractor worked and found his picture online, confirming that he was a real person. The narrator concludes the story by warning listeners to be cautious when using Craigslist and other online platforms. The episode ends with Terry reading another fan letter and thanking listeners for joining him at Radio Rental.

The girl telling the chiropractor story was talking sooooo slow. I had just keep skipping forward. I think she was trying to make the story about a chiropractor who wasn't a serial killer and didn't hurt anybody and told the truth about working at the university seem scary. 😂
