Description

This week, I return to my conversation with Glenda Stansbury, VP of InSight Books, Co-Founder and Dean of the InSight Institute Certified Celebrant Program, adjunct professor in the University of Central Oklahoma’s Funeral Department, and licensed funeral director and embalmer. We discuss the role of celebrants in more detail, and some of the key characteristics that a successful celebrant will have. We also take a deep dive into the value that curiosity and creativity have in our roles as death care professionals, and how these two qualities can make us better funeral arrangers, help us avoid burnout, and are ultimately be assets to the families that we serve.

Produced and Hosted by and Alexandra Jo (they/them), Director of Outreach and Education at Parting Stone, and Co-Hosted by Justin Crowe (he/him), Founder & CEO of Parting Stone.
