Description

The goal of the Path-Goal leader is to empower and motivate the follower, so the follower becomes more involved, more active, and more efficient, therefore more productive. Essentially, the role of the Path-Goal leader is to nudge the followers toward improvement.

The Path-Goal method is a highly acclaimed theory of Leadership and was developed in 1971 by Robert House. The Path-Goal method says the leader should engage in a behavioral pattern that will complement and compensate for the deficiencies of his follower.
