We’re thrilled to welcome Steve Chmilar back to the podcast! Steve, originally from Grande Prairie, Alberta, grew up drawing and building imaginary worlds on his family farm. His artistic talent extends beyond the visual arts—he won a national songwriting contest in 2006. After transitioning to full-time visual art following a successful show in 2011, Steve now paints daily in North Saanich, British Columbia, where he overlooks a peaceful saltwater lagoon.



Steve’s paintings are otherworldly, layered with rich narratives and intricate details. His works often strike a balance between whimsical and surreal, while showcasing superb realism that captivates and intrigues viewers.
