Description

In this episode of The Civic Circus, we sit down with Pastor Carl Frazier—a man whose journey from federal service to faith leadership is as inspiring as it is impactful.

Before stepping into the pulpit, Pastor Frazier built a career at the USDA Risk Management Agency, where he developed a deep understanding of systems, equity, and public service. His background in accounting and policy laid the groundwork for a life dedicated to community transformation.

Now the pastor of New Hope and Love Community Church in Topeka, Kansas, Pastor Frazier also serves as Executive Director of the Topeka Center for Peace and Justice. His leadership extends into roles with the Kansas Kairos Prison Ministry, Topeka JUMP, and the Alliance for a Healthy Kansas. He’s also a chaplain with the Topeka Police Department, bridging faith and civic service in powerful ways.

In this conversation, we explore what brought him to Topeka, how his USDA experience shaped his ministry, and why he believes justice and compassion must walk hand-in-hand. It’s a story of calling, courage, and community-building you won’t want to miss.

Tune in to hear how Pastor Carl Frazier is helping Topeka—and Kansas—move toward a more just and hopeful future.
