Description

Insurrection memories. The ninth Star Trek film, Insurrection, premiered on Friday, Dec. 11th, 1998 in theaters across the United States. The last Star Trek film to debut at #1 at the U.S. box office prior to the 2009 reboot film, the film centers around the Ba'ku and Picard and the Enterprise trying to end a forced relocation of those people to protect the Federation. Reviews were mixed, and fan acceptance varies. In this episode of The Minnesota Star Trek Nerd Podcast, host Wes Huntington recalls his memories of seeing the film in the theaters in a little suburban theater in the Minneapolis area, and what he thinks of the movie itself in honor of its twentieth anniversary.
