Equinors recent gas and condensate discoveries in the Norwegian North Sea, Lofn and Langemann wells, could hold between thirty to one hundred ten million barrels of oil equivalents. These finds, near existing fields, can be developed using existing infrastructure, reducing environmental impact and carbon dioxide emissions. Equinor plans to drill five additional exploration wells, and other companies like Vår Energi are also finding success near existing fields. Norway is actively increasing gas production, becoming Europes top gas supplier, with the government supporting the oil and gas industry for its significant revenue generation.
