Ericksonian Hypnosis without Borders with Dave Clayton, Ph.D.
On episode 24 of the Chicago Psychology Podcast Dave Clayton, Ph.D. discusses Ericksonian hypnosis and psychotherapy. Dave is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has a practice in Wood Dale, IL. He also trains therapy students in Mexico and Guatemala to provide therapy for trauma survivors in the war-torn regions of those countries.
Dave discusses his early days as a counseling and therapy student in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood, his experience of sitting at the feet of Milton Erickson in seminars in the 1970s, and his work in Mexico and Central America. He also describes the hypnotic technique he uses for PTSD.
