Gardaí have issued a nationwide alert for a getaway vehicle used by the gang suspected of firebombing a family home in Offaly on Saturday evening. The attack resulted in the deaths of four-year-old Tadhg Farrell and his 60-year-old grandaunt Mary Holt. Taoiseach Micheál Martin has condemned the “savage and callous” incident as “an attack on society”.
