He was power and greed, and lust, and everything horrid in the world, but tonight, the dark shadows of the world do not belong to him. For once, the hunter is hunted. And Montgomery Bernard is about to learn that even demons have reason to be afraid of the dark. Avarice was the first—a Whisper, born with the death of the mother and father. And Avarice…was afraid.
