Coach Teeks has been coaching high school football since 1991. Throughout his 30+ years of career, he has held various positions, including position coach, coordinator, and head coach, in Ohio and Michigan. He has over 200 wins, including a remarkable 45 playoff wins. Since taking over as the HC at Whiteford in 2022, they have won a Michigan state championship and been the state runner-up, including a perfect 14-0 record in 2022. Before taking over as the Bobcat HC, he was their defensive coordinator and helped them to a state runner-up in 2016 and a state championship in 2017.

His teams are known for their culture of discipline and toughness. His leadership and commitment to excellence have earned him numerous honors, including:

• 2022 Michigan State Coach of the Year
• 2022 and 2023 Regional Coach of the Year
• 2021 Michigan Assistant Coach of the Year
• Multiple Coach of the Year awards

Despite all the personal accolades, he credits his assistant coaches and players for the success of his teams. He has emphasized brotherhood, culture, commitment, and family throughout his career.
