SCRIPTURE TEXT: James 2:1-26
Continuing our chapter-by-chapter sermon series on the Letter of James, we come to chapter two. In the first half of the chapter, James charges believers to avoid showing any favoritism or partiality based on economic status or social influence. He concludes in the latter half by presenting one of the most powerful reminders in all of Scripture that faith without faithful works is akin to no faith at all. Taken together, James' chapter reminds us of God’s primary concern that we should love our neighbors as ourselves.
