Description

In this episode, Molly Livingstone speaks with the young researcher Dr. Haitham Amal, assistant professor and senior lecturer at the Institute for Drug Research at the School of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In this conversation Dr. Amal discusses his upbringing and how he was raised as an overachiever (he learned five languages as a kid) and the role it plays in his research ethics today in his lab. He shares his passion about his current research on Autism and why it was the parents that made him determined to find new treatments, and his rule on listening to your gut when it comes to big decisions.
