Description

In this Former Participant Series, Joanna interviews previously troubled teens and young adults who underwent a treatment program. On today’s episode, Joanna welcomes Andrew, a one-on-one coach who specializes in teaching adolescents and young adults how to maintain a growth mindset. Andrew shares his journey from the loss of a dear friend due to suicide, to attending wilderness therapy, joining apprenticeships, becoming a mental health counselor, and running his coaching business today.

NOTE: The podcasts in this series can include sensitive subjects such as suicide, self-harm, substance abuse, hospitalizations, psychotic episodes, and other traumatic experiences which include parts of the treatment journey. No topic is off limits and not all stories are positive but they are real, raw, and transparent.
