Update: 2025-12-08
Description
Fraudster Junead Ahmed, 36, from Shenfield, Essex, was mistakenly released from prison after staff were tricked by a fake document. The document, sent from a dot org email, was part of a plan to escape. Ahmed was found hiding in his attic after forty-three hours of freedom. He was sentenced to three years and three months for conspiring to escape. The plot was uncovered when additional fake documents were received, attempting to free two other prisoners. Judge Mary Loram described Ahmed as the main instigator, sentencing him and Aaryan Noor Ali, 20, the document creator, to prison.
