Free and Fair Access to Education – Is it Possible? | Featuring Patrick Danaher | Education Research Professor at University of Southern Queensland | Thrivable Future: Episode 5
Description
Can we achieve free and fair education for all by 2030?
Since 2015, 400 million kids around the world have been missing out on critical literacy milestones.
This episode features guest Patrick Danaher, a Professor of Education Research at University of Southern Queensland. He joins us to discuss Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. This SDG tries to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Through conversation, Rebecca and Patrick unpack what this goal means and how it’s connected to a sustainable future for everyone.
In this episode, we touch on some of the issues that prevent people from accessing education, what the purpose of education is, and some ideas on how we may resolve these issues.
