Frisco’s Wassail Days tradition returns from Nov. 29 through Dec. 7
Description
Frisco’s Wassail Days celebrations are scheduled to return to town from Nov. 29 through Dec. 7.
The annual event features fireworks at the holiday tree lighting, Santa visits, breakfast with Santa, story time with reindeer at the Historic Park and wassail sampling from 50-plus local businesses.
Wassail is an Old English toast to health and is a hot cider made with spices and fruits. It is traditionally served during the winter holidays. Since Frisco started the festival in 2008, Frisco businesses have perfected their recipes and are excited to once again offer samples as well as compete for the best wassail in Frisco.
In 2024, 53 businesses collectively served over 28,392 sips of wassail.
This year, over 50 local businesses will serve their own wassail or an alternative holiday treat. Participants will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite wassail recipe and fill their “12 Sips of Wassail” card. Once the card has been completed, a free 2025 commemorative Wassail Days mug can be redeemed, while supplies last.
Each year, the commemorative mug features an iconic Frisco scene. This year’s mug features an original design from Summit County-based artist Erin McCrea, owner of Mountain Mt. Media. Her work spans many platforms, including children’s books, oil painting and mural installations.
Mugs can be redeemed at the Frisco/Copper Visitor Information Center at 300 Main St. from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Never ask “What should we do this weekend?” again.
