From the Clinic to the Stage | Joji Malani (PT.1)
Description
PART 1 of 2
In today's episode you will meet Joji Malani, and listen to one of my favourite conversations to date. This episode is so good that we had to split it into two!
Joji Malani is a proud Fijian, one of six children. As a young boy he was gifted a guitar as another thing to learn, but it went a few steps further than that. When a medical discovery and procedure left him recovering in a bed for months, the guitar and love of music began to get serious, or an 'obsession' of sorts according to Joji. From the clinic of his boarding school, to years later the stage, Joji has hustled with friends to enjoy the fame and joy of performing in their band, Gang of Youths, internationally.
Today in Part 1, you'll hear this amazing story, as well as learn about what music means to Joji and the story of Gang of Youths. Joji shares about the journey of GOY, the highs and the interesting experiences of band life. Joji then chats about leaving the band, realising it was time for him to move into a new season of life.
Join us again next week for Part 2 where Joji shares about his new adventure and more!
