Getting to Know Jamie Shaul: 'The Comeback is always greater than the set back' as Hull FC man looks towards 2022 having overcome ACL injury
Description
The two E(i)than's and Benedict return, bringing with them Episode 23 of the Rugby League review and another special guest in Hull FC's Jamie Shaul.
Having suffered an ACL injury in October 2020 which kept him out of action for close to a year, Shaul made his comeback to play in FC's final three matches of the 2021 campaign. The 29-year-old chats about how tough that comeback was to achieve not just physically but mentally too.
Making his debut for FC in 2013, Shaul hasn't looked back since and has gone on to make over 180 appearances for the club, scoring 100 tries in the process. That impressive tally makes him the Black & Whites' fourth-highest try-scorer in the Super League Era.
As well as reflecting on back-to-back Challenge Cup wins in 2016 & 2017, Shaul also looks ahead to the new campaign where he hopes to secure a spot in the FC team on the wing, moving out of his traditional fullback position.
