In this episode, we welcome Giovanni Ribisi. Giovanni is the cinematographer of a great new thriller called Strange Darling, as well as a lifelong actor starring in films such as Saving Private Ryan, Boiler Room, Avatar, Lost in Translation, Ted, Public Enemies, Selma, Horizon: An American Saga, and shows including “Sneaky Pete” and “The Offer.” In our chat, Giovanni shares his backstory, path to becoming a cinematographer, and dives deep into his approach to filmmaking. He also offers inspirational advice for other creators and thoughts about the industry today.

Talking Cinematography with Documentarian Jennifer Cox

Jennifer Cox is a director of photography, documentarian and owner of Moto Films LLC based in New York. Cox procured one of the first sets of ZEISS Nano Prime lenses and used them on three diverse documentary projects. She tested the unique traits across a Beatles Fan Fest feature film shoot, a short form promotion for non-profit Free Arts NYC and as part of the 2024 Courage Awards from PEN America.
