As human beings, we always expect a reward when we have done something. At times, we believe that if we perform acts of service for the Lord, He will meet our needs or answer our prayers according to those needs. While God may answer you positively, His reward is not just short-sighted but goes beyond human expectations. We are, therefore, encouraged to serve God and to regard Him as a greater reward than human rewards. This will change our acts for pleasing man, but to please Him.
