However, the feature has raised privacy concerns, as up to 20 previous messages may be sent to Google's servers to create the suggestions. Google clarified that it can't read users' messages, but it is collecting data for better AI suggestions.

In addition, Magic Compose only works with RCS messages, and it is unclear when the SMS/MMS version will be released. Microsoft's SwiftKey keyboard app offers a similar feature that suggests pre-written messages and emails.
