A saint who inspired courage, compassion, and moral strength

Jaswinder Singh highlighted that hosting this commemoration inside the Australian Parliament House is a profound moment in Australian multicultural history. It reflects the country’s recognition of Sikh contributions, values, and the community’s unwavering commitment to the selfless service.

Mr Singh emphasised that this event offers all Australians—regardless of background—an opportunity to reflect on Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s timeless message:

“Stand for truth, protect the oppressed, and uphold freedom for all.”
