Hamp & O’B: Much-anticipated offense no-shows in Bears season-opening victory
Description
Dan Hampton, Ed O’Bradovich, and Andy Masur react to the Chicago Bears season-opening victory over the Tennessee Titans 24-17. With lots of anticipation for the debut of first-overall pick Caleb Williams, Bears offense never came alive, netting 148 total yards on offense. Williams never reached the endzone in his debut, only throwing for 64 total yards in the game.
Defense and special teams lead the scoring production, including a Daniel Hardy blocked punt, which led to a Jonathan Owens special teams touchdown to begin the scoring. Tyrique Stevenson’s pick-six was ultimately the game-sealing play that put the Bears in front midway through the fourth quarter for the victory.
The Hamp & O’B Show returns to the air on Sunday, September 15th. The Bears (1-0) are taking their first road trip of the 2024 season against Houston, Texas (1-0) on Sunday night football. The Pregame show is from 6 pm to 7 pm, and the Postgame show, with highlights and reactions, is from 10:30 pm to 12 am.
