Intersectionality has become a big mainstream word and not an unusual term to be bought up when discussing all things inclusivity, diversity and equity. However the way the term has been understood and used shows there is misinformation out there about the idea. Amal unpacks the history of intersectionality, highlights some of the ways its been misunderstood, and gives some nuggets as to how it should be understood and why it's important that it's understood correctly.
