The Cypriot feature film "Find Me Falling" (Greek title: Μπρος Γκρεμός) has sold world rights to Netflix and will be launching worldwide on 19 July, making it the first Cypriot feature film to screen on the streamer. This was a Cyprus-USA co-production produced by Jupiter Peak Productions (USA) and Meraki Films (Cyprus) and supported by the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture as well as the Cyprus Film Commission. It was written, directed and produced by South African-Cypriot filmmaker Stelana Kliris alongside US producers Steven Shapiro and Keith Arnold, and it stars Emmy and Grammy-award winning actor and singer Harry Cannick, Jr., Agni Scott, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Tony Demetriou, Lea Maleni, Aggeliki Filippidou, Athina Roditou and Clarence Smith.
The film is a romantic comedy about rocks star John Allman who, after a failed comeback album, escapes to a dreamy Mediterranean island, only to discover that his new cliffside home has an unfortunate notoriety that attracts unwanted visitors and an old flame.
"Find Me Falling" was shot entirely in Cyprus between Peyia and Nicosia, with local production company Green Olive Films running the production. The majority of the crew and cast were from Cyprus with over 150 people working on the production. "This is definitive proof that Cyprus is capable of producing world-class movies for a global audience and that people want to hear our stories," stated director Stelana Kliris. The film will also have a theatrical release in Cyprus only on 19 July.
