In this episode of The Muslim CEO Show, I have with me Riyad Shamma who is the Founder of YTransform
We discussed working with the youth, mentorship and how to build great communities so it’s definitely one for you if you are responsible for empowering or impacting other people.
Riyad, is the founder YTransform and executive director of the Institute of Youth Development and Excellence (IYDE). He has three children 18 to 22 years old and lives in Cincinnati, OH. With over 30 years of active youth work experience at all levels of involvement. He has trained more than 200 mentors and helped several communities develop teams of mentors to work with the youth, as well as developing and running programs for thousands of young Muslims.
He is a PhD candidate in Non-profit Management and is currently completing his PhD in Leadership Studies. He has volunteered for 20 years with MYNA as a counselor, camp director and advisor as well as with the ISNA majlis youth committee. His current and previous roles as a youth, advisor, parent, imam, and mosque board member makes him one of the world’s leading authorities on Muslim Youth.
