As a result of President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” approved by the Republican-controlled Congress, about 42,000 people in Philadelphia – that includes kids and older people – are slated to be kicked off of SNAP (food stamps). What do these cuts mean for our neighbors, and for kids? George Matysik, executive director of Philly’s Share Food Program, sits down with City Cast Philly’s executive producer Matt Katz to explain how food insecurity affects our city.
