Combining an adventurous spirit with a creative drive, and turning both into a full-time career, is much easier said than done. Endurance cyclist slash cartoonist Tegan Phillips is well on her way to doing just that. She shares her journey and learnings on the way. 👇  

⭐️  ABOUT TEGAN PHILLIPS  

There are too many words and ideas to describe what Tegan does as both a professional and an amateur at heart. However, she is an adventurer, author, cartoonist, cyclist, advocate, entrepreneur and speaker.  Some of her more daring adventures include cycling through Spain, traversing Africa on an 11,000km family bike trip, completing the equivalent of 10 IronMan triathlons across New Zealand, and most recently, preparing for a world-record attempt at cycling from Cairo to Cape Town.  Tegan is also a prolific author and cartoonist, collaborating closely with global brands like Giant/Liv Bicycles, Strava and Komoot, while also appearing at national speaking events like TEDx and more. 

Professionally qualified as a legal expert, Tegan has refused to settle for a mainstream career, instead opting to follow her heart and gut as she journeys towards finding her own unique expression of what it means to build a career and make a living.  I met Tegan on a random bike trip a couple of years ago, and was immediately impressed by her love for dogs and doughnuts - actually her capacity for ideation and learning is what struck me most.
