How a Location Independent 40 Year Old Content Developer is Saving 70% to Retire Early
Description
Welcome to the GenerationXit Podcast, a show for people aged 40+ who want to reverse engineer their lives and live a completely different existence. Whether that’s as a location independent entrepreneur, working freelance from a laptop as a ‘digital nomad’, or simply leaving the 9 to 5 to set up your own business, this podcast is for you.
Today we're talking to Cris Gawlik, 40, a maths educational content developer originally from the US. Cris made the choice to become 100% location independent when she was 37. She started her business whilst on the road and used geoarbitrage and income growth tactics to dramatically increase her savings rate. She now lives in Mexico and saves 70% of her income with the aim of securing financial independence and early retirement (FIRE).
