Kristina is a no-nonsense, trauma-informed therapist and EMDR-trained clinician known for blending fierce accountability with deep compassion. Her practice is rooted in the belief that lasting transformation happens when clients are met with honest, judgment-free guidance—and the encouragement to take bold, intentional steps forward.
With a background in psychology, philosophy, and criminology, Kristina earned her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University. While in Boston, she co-designed youth gang intervention programs, LGBTQIA+ mentoring services, and an LGBTQIA+ suicide hotline—cementing her lifelong dedication to justice, mental wellness, and identity-affirming care.
She began her career in private investigation and youth advocacy, later participating in Global Youth Leadership Conferences to address international human rights issues. In New York, she supported individuals with severe mental illness through HALI’s PROS model and went on to become an employment specialist and group facilitator.
After earning her MSW from Stony Brook University, where she focused on psychopharmacology, CBT, and crisis intervention, Kristina worked extensively with court-mandated clients. She developed a first-of-its-kind LGBTQIA+ Domestic Violence Intervention program and specializes in anger management, trauma recovery, paraphilia treatment, and couples & family therapy.
Kristina has held administrative leadership in a 75-bed psychiatric facility, managing geriatric cases and transitional housing services. Her continuing education spans aging, addiction, communicable disease, hoarding, and trauma-informed care.
She treats adults, LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples of all kinds, and families. Her certifications include EMDR, DBT, EFT, Advanced Holistic Counseling, and Compassion Fatigue. Her therapeutic approach integrates mindfulness, grief work, Imago, CBT, and specialized protocols for OCD, PTSD/CPTSD, and sexual trauma.
Her style is direct, empowering, and rooted in results: Kristina will challenge you to show up and do the work—with unwavering support, radical honesty, and zero judgment. Her practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, justice-oriented, and committed to helping clients reclaim their power.
