Description

Negotiations are something most people dread. But we negotiate almost daily with partners, children, and colleagues. Columbia University Law professor Alexandra Carter explains how to apply the principles of negotiation to everyday issues in life and work.

Carter discovered her passion for negotiation when a chance opportunity led her to perform pro bono mediation services in civil court. She’s now the director of Columbia Law School’s Mediation Clinic, and she has partnered with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research to instruct young diplomats in alternate dispute resolution. Her new book is “Ask For More: 10 Questions to Negotiate Anything.”

Later in the show, social media comedy sensation Matt Buechele (@mattbooshel) tells us how he’s creating viral internet comedy during the Covid-19 lockdown.
