for many years I was a medical transcriptionist and at times I would type onto my palms the things that everyone was saying sort of like Emily. It wasn't under stress it was just I don't even know. maybe it was when I was listening very carefully. incidentally while working at home alone I picked up a nasty habit of outward dialogue with some not so savory language and had to reign that in when I started working amongst others besides my dog.
