Today’s episode features the power of Interrelatedness – the universal presence of relationship and care found between all beings throughout the many epochs of the cosmos.
In this podcast, Brian explores how care is at work in the universe, including, but not limited to, human relationships. Brian touches on the thrilling nature of relationships and how through care, we gain the capacity to identify worth and to be sensitive to what others need.
Brian examines how the universe has shown itself to value the dynamic of “care” from the very beginning of the universe and through the development of life. In doing so, Brian shows how the universe is, in some sense, seeking to deepen and extend its power of care.
Just as a primordial power of care was evoked out of the elementary particles of the early universe, a deeper and more expansive power of care is currently being evoked out of the human species. This is happening as we activate a sensitivity that can feel the need to care for the planet as a whole. Through empathy and imagination, humans provide the perfect vessel for a comprehensive care to come forth in the universe, adding both meaning and purpose to our role in the cosmos.
