This Friday, a comet from another star system, known as three I slash Atlas, will make its closest pass by Earth, offering a rare opportunity for amateur astronomers to spot it. Discovered just this past summer, the comet is estimated to be between 440 meters and 5.6 kilometers wide and will reach interstellar space by the mid-twenty-thirties. This is only the third known interstellar object to travel through our solar system, making it a fascinating object for study.
