Marcello is an award-winning travel writer who has written for numerous publications including Afar, The Walrus, EnRoute, Geist, and Readers Digest Canada, aside from his own collections: Harmattan: Wind Across West Africa, Poets and Pahlevans: A Journey into the Heart of Iran, Walls; Travels Along the Barricades and Pay No Heed to the Rockets: Palestine in the Present Tense.
