Description

Ronan has a recommendation for a new podcast to try.

It’s 1990. The Berlin Wall just fell. The Soviet Union is on the verge of collapse. And the soundtrack to the revolution is one of the best selling songs of all time, the metal ballad “Wind of Change,” by the Scorpions.

Decades later, New Yorker journalist Patrick Radden Keefe heard a rumor: the song wasn’t written by the Scorpions. It was written by the CIA.

Wind of Change is his journey to find the truth.

Seriously?!? I didn't recognize the title of the song, but as soon as I heard the opening notes, I was like, "I remember this song! I love this song! I haven't heard it in years, but it still gives me goosebumps hearing it." My next steps are to download the podcast and then buy a copy of the song. I'm so glad that I now have money to buy music now. When that song came out I was too young to have a job to earn money for buying music. I remember thinking that even the books at the Scholastic Book Fairs were a bit out of my price range. 😄
