Description
Some medications for IBD increase risk for herpes zoster. Nationwide study in Korea shows increase in risk of herpes zoster in patients with IBD, especially for those with ulcerative colitis. New study shows long-term benefits of achieving maintained virologic response in patients with HBV, even after development of decompensated cirrhosis. BMI is a significant predictor in discrepancy when assessing fibrosis in NAFLD with MRE vs. TE. New study shows that restarting DOACs within 30 days doesn't significantly increase risk of recurrent GI bleeding or reduce risk of thromboembolism.
