🚨 Minimizing Jesus is a mistake.

Too often, we shrink Jesus down to something manageable, tame, and safe. But in John 18–19, Jesus refuses to be minimized. He is not a victim in the Garden — He is the Alpha and Omega, in complete control, even as He walks toward the cross. He commands soldiers to the ground with a word, directs the course of history, and willingly trades His life for the guilty, for you and me.

Like Pilate, we are tempted to ask, “What is truth?” while redefining it for ourselves. Like the crowd, we trade the Holy One for lesser loves. Yet here is the staggering gospel: Jesus leveraged His power not to save Himself, but to take our place.
