It's Crunch Time at Arsenal - With James Goldman, Sports Editor at The Metro
Description
This week Johnny and I are joined by James Goldman, who is the Sports Editor at The Metro.
First, James talks us through his career as a sports journalist thus far. We join him in revisiting his days as an Arsenal reporter, discuss his current role as The Metro UK's Sports Editor, and reflect upon the balancing act of Arsenal fandom and football journalism.
Then, we discuss Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Burnley, reflecting on where the result and performance leaves Mikel Arteta and his team as we head into a winter break. We touch on Alexandre Lacazette's form, the lack of squad depth, and look ahead to the remaining 17 Premier League games.
There's some discussion on Mikel Arteta's management, our objectives for the end of the season, and the healthier atmosphere growing around the club.
Finally, we assess the state of affairs in the January transfer window, with Johnny and James providing an update on both incomings and outgoings. We assess recent business and potential targets, and stress the importance of bolstering the squad before the deadline.
Enjoy!
