Description

The ever first Scottish winner of the BBC Introducing Artist Of The Year, Jacob Alon sits down with Jamz to discuss 'Fairy In A Bottle' from their Mercury-nominated album, In Limerence.

Together, they piece together Jacob’s steps to becoming the acclaimed artist they are today, from escaping a childhood that felt very distant from their authentic self, through a challenging stint living in a van in Edinburgh, and discovering and nurturing a voice in music that helped express the inexpressible.

Jamz and Jacob also discuss the mind-altering alchemy and fantasy of infatuation as a theme through the song and album more broadly, reflect on the impact of ‘tragic’ or 'doomed' portrayals of queer relationships and reveal how a shared interest in quantum physics and astronomy developed with album producer and creative partner, Dan Carey.
