James' Story
Description
At the age of 14, James Okina encountered the problem of out-of-school street children in his home city of Calabar, southern Nigeria. Refusing to accept the grim reality that children as young as 10 were living on the streets of Calabar and fending for themselves, James begins to speak with people in hopes to galvanize help for these forgotten children, but his efforts yields little results. But rather than giving up, James took the bold step of establishing an organization known as Street Priests which has impacted the lives of over 16,000 children till date. An organization he still actively remains a part of today despite being in the diaspora. Listen to the Story of James on the Climb Podcast.
