"Jamezie is a Boston-based, transgender artist. They recently graduated from The New England School of Art & Design where they concentrated in sculpture, performance, printmaking, and philosophy.
Jamezie’s has been exhibited in several venues and pop-up shows in the Boston area including a recent exhibition with the Boston LGBTQIA Artist Alliance. They also recently exhibited at TRANSEND.T: A Queer Themed Screen Exhibition in Porto, Portugal.
Jamezie is one of the recipients of The International Sculpture Center’s 2015 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award, and recently from a residency in Reykjavik, Iceland.
They frequently collaborate with community collectives to organize and teach accessible art making workshops that encourage radical minded action for events including The Boston Anarchist Bookfair, Boston Zine Fest, and The Theater Offensive.
