The Black Phone premiered in 2022 and quickly became one of the most talked-about horror films of the year. Directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Ethan Hawke as the chilling villain known as “The Grabber,” the film struck a nerve with audiences for its unsettling atmosphere and emotional core. Jason Blum believed In the story from the start, trusting the vision that would make it stand out in modern horror.


Set in 1970s Colorado, the plot follows a young boy who’s abducted by a masked killer. He discovers a mysterious, disconnected phone that lets him communicate with the murderer’s past victims.
