It’s been 10 years since Jessica Watson sailed into Sydney Harbour, having navigatedsome of the world’s remotest oceans, and spending 210 days alone at sea.
Jessica became the youngest person to sail solo, nonstop around the world at age 16. On that day the Prime Minister declared her an Australian Hero. Jessica cheekily retorted, “I’m just an ordinary person, who had a dream, worked hard at it and proved anything is really possible.”
Anniversaries give us pause for reflection and celebration; this 10-year anniversary is a chance to remember Jessica's great achievement. We also wanted to hear from her about life after the voyage and find out her best expert tips for this current season of social distancing!
