The Betty Wold Johnson Foundation has granted $1 million to the ECAC, launching the nations largest collegiate womens flag football league. This initiative, set to begin in 2026, aims to empower young women through sports, potentially leading to Olympic dreams and a future professional league. The seven-on-seven format league will host regular season games on college campuses and a championship game at MetLife Stadium. Grants will also be provided to participating schools to support team costs.
