Michael's anger with Marlow not giving him the information about the driver of the truck who hit and killed his sister, sparks and the two are drawn into a hurtful argument.
Michael, avoiding his conflict with Marlow, astral projects to Bangkok to hang out with Alex. Alex and his Thai friends are going to an abandoned temple where a witch reads palms and tells fortunes.
